SIMPOSIO INTERNAZIONALE SUL PAESAGGIO SONORO
FKL e Tempo Reale invitano a presentare lavori scientifici e musicali sul tema del paesaggio sonoro al quinto simposio del Forum Klanglandschaft, che avrà luogo a Firenze (Italia) dal 20 al 22 maggio 2011.
Il convegno viene svolto in collaborazione tra le due istituzioni insieme al centro per l'arte contemporanea EX3 ed offre la possibilità di presentare interventi relazioni per il congresso, lavori sonori, installazioni e video.
Il titolo "keep an ear on..." suggerisce come tema specifico per questa edizione la necessità di prestare attenzione ed anche di controllare ciò che noi tutti udiamo, sia dal punto di vista del pericolo di inquinamento acustico, sia da quello estetico della qualità del nostro ambiente sonoro.
Relazioni scientifiche
Sono previste sessioni scientifiche con relazioni di 20 minuti. Per proporre una relazione è necessario spedire un abstract (max 400 parole) e una breve biografia (max 200 parole).

Saranno a disposizione dei relatori un impianto audio stereofonico e un sistema di proiezione video.
Soundworks
Per quanto riguarda le sessioni d’ascolto, sono previste due categorie di lavori sonori:
1 - Soundscape composition (anche per nastro magnetico in formato multicanale)
Si richiede l’invio della registrazione audio del lavoro insieme ad una breve descrizione del lavoro (max 400 parole ) e ad una breve biografia (max 200 parole).
I documenti dovranno essere inviati, sia nella propria lingua che in inglese, al seguente indirizzo di posta elettronica:

Installazioni sonore
Spedire una breve descrizione del lavoro (max 400 parole) insieme ad una breve biografia (max 200 parole) e ad un file di documentazione.
Il file di documentazione deve contenere foto o disegni dell'installazione, dovrà spiegare esattamente i funzionamento dell'installazione stessa, contenere tutti dati tecnici necessari, lo spazio richiesto ed ogni necessità. Descrivere più specificamente possibile tutte le esigenze tecniche e spaziali e specificare quanto per la realizzazione del lavoro sarà fornito dal proponente e quanto invece deve essere fornito da FKL. Un filmato o una simulazione video della installazione sarà gradita.

Il comitato scientifico-artistico di selezione comprenderà membri del consiglio direttivo di FKL e di Tempo Reale e sceglierà insindacabilmente le relazioni, le opere musicali e le installazioni (insieme con membri di EX3) da presentare durante il simposio.

Il Forum Klanglandschaft (FKL) - Forum per il paesaggio sonoro -, associazione senza scopo di lucro, riunisce persone che, pur provenendo da discipline diverse, sono interessate all'ascolto e alla gestione responsabile dell'ambiente acustico. L' FKL è nato in seguito all'impulso dato dal World Forum for Acoustic Ecology costituitosi nel 1993, e agisce come piattaforma di informazione e contatto a livello europeo. L' FKL svolge e sostiene attività nelle scienze, nelle arti e nell'educazione che contribuiscano alla sensibilizzazione per l'ambiente acustico e ad un ascolto aperto e attivo. Appoggia le iniziative in campo urbanistico volte ad un uso cosciente degli spazi e dei tempi sonori. I membri del FKL si occupano del monitoraggio acustico dell'ambiente, di design acustico, del paesaggio sonoro creato dai nuovi media e di attività artistiche basate sull'interazione con suoni e ritmi ambientali. Attualmente i membri di FKL provengono prevalentemente da: Svizzera, Germania, Austria, Italia.
TEMPO REALE
Centro di produzione ricerca e didattica musicale
Fondato da Luciano Berio nel 1987 è oggi un punto di riferimento per la ricerca, la produzione e la formazione nel campo delle nuove tecnologie musicali. Dalla sua costituzione il Centro è stato impegnato nella realizzazione delle opere di Berio, opere che lo hanno portato a lavorare nei più prestigiosi contesti concertistici di tutto il mondo. Lo sviluppo di criteri di qualità e creatività derivati da queste esperienze si è riverberato nel lavoro condotto continuativamente tanto con compositori e artisti affermati quanto con giovani musicisti emergenti. I temi principali della ricerca riflettono un'idea di poliedricità che da sempre caratterizza le scelte e le iniziative di Tempo Reale: l'ideazione di eventi musicali di grande spessore, lo studio sull'elaborazione del suono dal vivo, le esperienze di interazione tra suono e spazio, la sinergia tra creatività, competenza scientifica, rigore esecutivo e didattico.
INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON SOUNDSCAPES
FKL and TempoReale invite you to submit scientific and musical contributions related to the theme of soundscape to the fifth symposium of Forum Klanglandschaft to be held in Florence (Italy), 20 - 22 May 2011.
The conference is held in cooperation between the two institutions, together with the contemporary art center EX3, and offers the opportunity to present, in the conference, papers, sound-works, installations and videos.
The title "keep an ear on ..." suggests, as the specific theme for this edition, the need to pay attention to and also to control what we all hear, both from the point of view of the danger of noise pollution, and from the one of the aesthetic quality of our sound environment.
Scientific papers
Scientific sessions are planned with papers of 20 minutes.
To submit a paper you have to send an abstract (max 400 words) and a short biography (max 200 words).

Sound installations
Send a short description of the work (max 400 words), a short biography (max. 200 words) and a documentation file.
The documentation file should contain pictures or drawings of the installation, explain clearly the working of the installation, contain all the technical data, the required space and everything else that is needed.
Describe as accurately as possible all the technical and space requirements, and specify also what you can contribute to the realization of your work and what you would need to be provided by FKL.
A movie or a video simulation of the installation will be appreciated.

FKL
Forum Klanglandschaft (FKL) - Soundscape Forum -, is a non-profit association of persons who, although coming from different disciplines, are interested in listening and in a responsible handling of the acoustic environment.
FKL was created in 1993 after the impulse given by the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology and acts as a point of information and contacts on an European level.
FKL supports activities in science, art and education that contribute to increasing the awareness for the acoustic environment and for an open and active listening. It supports initiatives in town planning aiming at a responesible use of sonic space and time.
Members of FKL are involved in acoustic monitoring of the environment, acoustic design, soundscapes created by new media, and artistic activities based on interaction with environmental sounds and rhythms.
Currently the members of FKL are predominantly from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy.
TEMPO REALE
Production center and music education research
Founded by Luciano Berio in 1987 is today a reference point for research, production and training in new music technologies. Since its establishment, the Centre was involved in the execution of works by Berio, works that brought him to work in the most prestigious concert settings around the world. The development of criteria of quality and creativity derived from these experiences has reverberated in the work carried out continuously with both established artists as composers and musicians with emerging young. The main themes of research reflect an idea of versatility that has always characterized the choices and actions of Real Time: the conception of musical events of note, the study on the development of live sound, the experience of interaction between sound and space, the synergy between creativity, scientific, educational and rigorously executed.
INTERNATIONALES SYMPOSIUM ÜBER DIE KLANGLANDSCHAFT
FKL und Tempo Reale laden ein, mit theoretischen Referaten und musikalischen Arbeiten am 5. Symposiums des Forum Klanglandschaft, 20. bis 22. Mai 2011 in Florenz (Italien), teilzunehmen.
Als Veranstalter zeichnen die beiden Organisationen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kunstzentrum Ex3. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, Referate für die Tagung, Klangarbeiten, Installationen und Videos vorzustellen.
Der Titel "keep an ear on...." möchte als spezifisches Thema dieses Treffens auf die Notwendigkeit hinweisen, auf Alles was wir hören zu achten und es auch zu gestalten, sowohl unter dem Gesichtspunkt der drohenden klanglichen Umweltverschmutzung, als unter dem der ästhetischen Qualität unserer akustischen Umwelt.
Referate
Für die theoretischen Sessionen sind Referate von 20 Minuten vorgesehen.

Das Forum Klanglandschaft, ein no-profit Verein, ist ein Zusammenschluss von Personen, die, obwohl sie in verschiedenen Disziplinen beheimatet sind, sich für das Hören und einen verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit der akustischen Umwelt interessieren, Es enstand auf der Basis des Impulses, der von der Gründung des World Forum for Acoustic Ecology 1993 ausgegangen ist, und versteht sich als Informations- und Austauschplattform auf europäischer Ebene. Das FKL unterstützt Aktivitäten in den Wissenschaften, Künsten und der Erziehung, die zur Sensibilisierung für die akustische Umwelt und für ein offenes und aktives Hören beitragen. Es unterstützt die stadtplanerischen Initiativen, die auf einen bewussten Umgang mit Klangzeit und Klangraum abzielen. Die Mitglieder des FKL beschäftigen sich mit der Monitorierung der akustichen Umwelt, Klang-Design, der durch die neuen Medien geschaffenen Klangumwelt und mit künstlerischen Projekten auf der Grundlage der Interaktion mit Umweltklängen und - rhythmen. Die Mehrzahl der Mitglieder kommt zur Zeit aus der Schweiz, Deutschland, Österreich und Italien.
TEMPO REALE
Zentrum für Musikproduktion, Forschung und Ausbildung
Von Luciano Berio 1987 gegründet, ist es heute ein wichtiger Bezugspunkt für die Forschung, die Produktion und die Ausbildung im Bereich der neuen Musik-Technologien. Seit seiner Gründung hat sich das Zentrum die Realisierung von Berios Werken zur Aufgabe gemacht, mit denen es in den wichtigsten Konzertreihen der ganzen Welt aufgetreten ist. Die aus dieser Tätigkeit erwachsene Entwicklung qualitativer und kreativer Kriterien hat sich auf die kontinuierliche Arbeit mit schon bekannten Komponisten und Künstlern, wie auch mit jungen talentierten Musikern niedergeschalgen. Die Themen der Forschung spiegeln die Vielseitigkeit wieder, die von jeher die Ausrichtung und die Initiativen von Tempo Reale kennzeichnen: die Gestaltung wichtiger musikalischer Ereignisse, die Unteruschungen zur live-elektronischen Klangverarbeitung, die verschiedenen Interaktionen von Raum und Klang, die Synergien zwischen Kreativität, wissenschaftlicher Kompetenz, Präzision in den Aufführungen und in der didaktischen Arbeit.
